Students in grades 6​th​-8​th​ should report to their Homeroom Teachers no later than 7:40.​ ​Students in grades 9​th​-12 ​th ​should report to their 1st period where they will receive a printed copy of their 2nd semester schedule.​ Middle school basketball plays Monday and Thursday. High school basketball plays at Leguene Tuesday and home Friday. ​All students requesting CCP courses through LCC should check their student email regarding the new semester. The following message contains events at Jones Senior High School for the next few weeks as well as other information. Tomorrow, Bus 144 will be picking up and dropping off the bus route 142 students morning and afternoon. Bus 142 will pickup and drop off bus route 136 students morning and afternoon. Trenton Elementary School and Jones Senior High School will practice a lockdown drill the week of December 12th-16th, 2022.  A lockdown occurs when a possible threat of danger exists in or near the school. Middle school basketball plays at Rochelle Monday and at home Thursday. High school basketball teams play Friday at Bear Grass. Seniors will continue taking ACT Workkeys this week. 6th-12th grade exams will take place December 15th through the 20th. On Thursday, English II EOC and 1st period exams will be administered. On Friday, Math I & III EOC and 2nd period exams will be administered.All classes will have exams and none will be taken early. Only students with permission from Dr. Parker will be allowed to miss during exam days. An exam schedule will be provided next week. Attendance will be taken on these days. Remember, that missing more than 5 days in semester courses and 10 days in year-long courses may result in failure regardless of a passing grade. Kaitlyn Crompton, one of our sophomore FFA members, was selected after a competitive application process to attend National FFA's NextGen Conference for Animal Systems in Denver, CO this upcoming Spring semester, Feb 28-Mar 3, 2023. The Next Gen Conference allows students to explore a specific pathway through informational sessions, panels and tours. Participants experience new and emerging ideas, trends, and products; cutting-edge technology; sustainability and more. In addition, they will delve into literacy and advocacy as well as diversity, equity and inclusion, all while exploring various careers in the pathway. If you see Kaitlyn around campus or our community, show her some love... this is a HUGE accomplishment!

Our Jones Senior FFA members traveled to Louisburg, NC this weekend for the 68th Annual NC FFA Land Judging CDE! A recap of the results is provided below. Special "thank you" to Mr. Randolph Ingram for driving our teams. We are very proud of our students and their efforts this year! In the Junior Division, our team placed 1st in the Neuse Federation, 2nd in the Southeast Region, and 7th overall in the State. Luke Jones was the team's Highest Scoring Individual, placing 11th individually. Team members include (L-R): Luke Jones (8th Grade), Milo Long (Soph.), Mason Meadows (8th Grade), & Russ Pulst (8th Grade). In the Senior Division, our team placed 1st in the Neuse Federation, 2nd in the Southeast Region, and 14th overall in the State. Briana Jackson was the team's Highest Scoring Individual, placing 23rd individually. Team members include (L-R): Briana Jackson (Sr.), Ben Davis (Soph.), Kaitlyn Crompton (Soph.), & Diesel Pickett (Soph.).

On November 15th, 10th graders that did not take PreACT last will have a makeup test. Wednesday, November 16th there will be a Powderpuff game at 7:00 in the football stadium. Thursday middle school basketball tryouts begin. On Friday November 18th there will be picture makeups.
