On June 29th, the JCPS Board of Education voted to move the entirety of the 6th grade to Jones Senior High School. All elementary schools in the district will now be PreK through 5th grade. The purpose of this move is to unify the grade spans within the district, provide a streamlined approach to our middle school academic program to better prepare our students for success in high school, and provide a better opportunity for 6th grade students to participate in middle school athletics. Additional information will be forthcoming regarding this transition.

Just want to let everyone know that at Tuesday night's JCPS BOE Meeting, the JCPS BOE approved the move of all 6th grade students from their various elementary schools (TES, PES, MES, and CES) to now be full time students at JSHS. Next Friday, May 21st, at 5:00 PM our Trojans Baseball team will play it's scheduled game vs. Wallace Rose-Hill High School in Kinston, NC at Historic Grainger Stadium (Home of the Down East Wood Ducks)!!
